I'm glad you liked the Whitethorn Kid Journal. You are the first to leave a comment. Interesting that you too have enjoyed the wilds of that country. I am just getting started so I'm on a slow learning curve right now. I really like finding blogs like yours.

I accidenly sent this post to myself. I am still learning. I hope you take another look and find this belated comment. I also suggest you look at Nove 1 post. It is all about Bull Creek, a Humboldt County community that washed out in the floods of the mid 20th century.

HI: I love your art and your little live donkeys. I have had horses most of my life so I can relate to the little cousins.I also do paintings of horses and flowers although my writing is taking up much of my time. I am just finishing up a book about my childhood: The Whitethorn Kid, True tales From Whitethorn, and the Lost Coastin the 1940s.It is full of stories about the wild country and the wild loggers of the time.I am now retired and I have been writing my blog for about a month. Much of the blog concerns Humboldt County, California and logger history. I often post a questions such as "What is a greenchain?" or "Where is the Lost Coast?" Whitethorn Kid.
